So I took this picture last night and cropped out her poor chapped nose from being sick with a cold now for 2 weeks maybe longer?
Sophia is just such a sweet heart, she melts my heart. She is funny, sassy, loving, kind, and a little tough too.
What a blessed momma I am to be home with my children. I need to remember this more when I have had a “bad” day.
This is one of the coolest family projects to do during the month of December. If you have not heard of this project look it up. One of my friends had the idea that our group of moms would share the task of coming up with a few ornaments crafts and create a prayer and explanation of each ornament.
This was a group of 8 ladies so we split up the task and then met a few weeks later to share what each one had created. Mark and I sit down with Sophia and we read the bible story and then discuss it while we make the ornament.
Each family could create there own tree to hang them on and some used real trees , we went on a hunt in the yard and found this and dad thought it would be cool to hang on the wall. So this is ours. Its not the best coloring because I took at night. Also, Sophia has green on her face not dirt (although, am sure she has some of that on her face too) Last night we read about Adam & Eve and the project included molding clay that she wiped on her face. =)
Do you not love her facial expressions these days! What a hoot.
I have to add these because my mother actually had this little game with Charlie that was so sweet. She would sing “Happy Birthday who is #1” and she taught him to point his finger it was so cute, then we would all clap for him. He loves Nana!
So if you can’t see all the words on his shirt it says If you mustache I am one. How cute is that and we had planned on a small gathering with a few friends and mostly family but with all the sickness we have been dealing with we decided to keep it low key and it was a fun day for Charlie. He loved his cake! the frosting was neatly eaten then the cake part it was too cute.
I just love my little man and am so blown away with the fact that he is already one. I remember this day so clearly, it was relatively easy birth 3 pushes and we had our sweet boy who was 8.2oz and 21 inches long. It was love at first sight.

Since we didn't have a party due to all the illness Aunt Alyson dropped off Charlie's gift a Vtech toy phone and he LOVES it!! Nana Ruth got him his own cash register to play with his sister.
Birthday Cake time! 
My baby boy turned one and we gave home his first cut and he already looks so much older and I love it but it also makes me sad…
He is such a handsome boy I feel so blessed by his personality and his smiles and love watching him grow. =)
Well I cant take full credit for this idea as a gift for Mark this year because of course the idea was from Pinterest. But I just love how it turned out and I'm pretty sure that this was his favorite one given by far.
That and he said he loved when the kids greeted him at the door and Sophia was singing her Happy Birthday Cha Cha Cha song from school.

Sophia actually helped me make daddies favorite cake, German Chocolate cake. It was so yummy!
We had a little visitor with us for a few nights and boy was he such a doll. He melts my heart and he and Charlie get along so well its nice they have each other to play with. Sophia just wants to really be the center of attention (can you tell fro the picture)
