Fall days…November 2010

 

 

Mark and I took Sophia to a favorite of ours.  We always get corn stalks and mums and pumpkins for Fall decorations outside.  She was in a sea of pumpkins.  It was too cute.

This is what mark likes to call the “danger zone” anything that he thinks could hurt Sophia he calls the danger zone.  I find it interesting how little fear our Sophia has.  She is not afraid of anything.  Rocks, sticks, eating acorns or standing up on her rocking chair.  Mark says all the time that he is going to throw the chair away, but I think she has to learn somehow.

 

SOPHIA turns 1 November 4th 2010

 

Wow how the time has flown by this last year!  It is amazing to me. 

Sophia is  23lbs she is 31” in tall and she is full of spunk.

She is saying momma and sometimes a version of dada.  She says yis/yes she can say NO clearly and she says peas/please. 

She walks up to me and will lay her head on my shoulder and she gives me kisses without slobber!

She loves to play with her little friends and she makes my heart melt. 

I look forward every morning to see her tired face.  We usually have a snuggle time in bed for about 30 min.  We chill while daddy gets ready then daddy takes over and mommy get ready.  our routine works and we have it down pretty well. 

Sophia loves to eat any fruits and veggies and is a little picky with the meats.  She like chicken nuggets with ranch sauce.  She likes hotdogs.  They are kosher all beef so don't worry! 

She still isn't drinking cows milk she just cant seem to tolerate it.  It may be my fault, I am lactose intolerant so it may be she is also.  Doc is recommending to wait and introduce later.

We had a little friends party on Saturday and then we had a family party that Sunday.  We had a blast but it was a little chaotic.

“bad hair day”

 

This month Sophia is learning to eat on her own and will occasionally put her food on her head. 

While its a little bit frustrating because I know I have to give her another bath, I cant help but smile.  That's what Sophia does, makes me smile.

Clean up time and she decided to take out the rubber band in her hair!  So I love the crazy hair with all the food in it!

 

October days

 

So today we visited Kollen park on the south side of Holland. 

What a beautiful morning.We had an early breakfast out and then decided to go get some fresh air and have some fun.  Sophia Loves the swing set and we should have the slides down by next spring.

I am a little behind in my postings so i am going back and making up…

Updates on Sophia- this month she has 8 teeth and is saying momma all the time.  She is sort of saying no!  She is walking but wants to run.  She is not taking to milk products very well so we are having to skip introducing that into her diet for a while.  We are still taking a morning bottle and and bedtime bottle.  Sophia takes a morning snooze around 9-10 partially i think because she gets up so early with us, around 6 or 630.  She is also taking an afternoon nap from 130-3ish.

Sophia is such a good baby she is so happy and if she isn’t we know something is up.

 

We are starting a family tradition in the fall to go to Klackles orchards to pick apples and ride the wagons, go to the petting zoo and play on the many rides.  This place is a child’s dream.  It was a perfect sunny day with just enough of a cool breeze. 

We had cider and donuts and I packed a picnic lunch for everyone to have after all the hard playing.

What a great day and it was a blast hanging out with the family and spending quality time together creating memories for us and our children.  Excited for many more!
